When you use our voice analysis features, we access your device's microphone to record audio. We process this data as follows:

  • Real-time processing: Voice recordings are analyzed in real-time to extract frequency, pitch, and vocal characteristics
  • No permanent audio storage: Raw audio recordings are NOT permanently stored on our servers
  • Analysis results: We retain only processed data (pitch values in Hz, frequency patterns, match scores) to track your progress

Important: Voice data is considered biometric information under laws like GDPR and CCPA. We treat it with the highest level of protection and never sell or share your voice data with third parties for advertising purposes.

1.2 Account Information

When you create an account or use our Service, we may collect:

  • Email address
  • Name (optional)
  • Age range (for personalized recommendations)
  • Voice training goals and preferences

1.3 Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use the Service:

  • Device type, operating system, and browser information
  • App usage patterns (features used, session duration)
  • Training progress and completion data
  • Crash reports and performance data

1.4 Payment Information

Payment transactions are processed by third-party payment processors (Apple App Store, Stripe). We do not directly collect or store your credit card numbers. We may receive transaction confirmations, subscription status, and purchase history.

  • Payment records: Retained as required by law (typically 7 years for tax purposes)

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest
  • Secure cloud infrastructure with access controls
  • Regular security audits and monitoring
  • Employee access limited to those who need it

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We comply with the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act. Voice recordings may constitute biometric identifiers. By using the Service, you consent to our collection and use of voice data as described in this policy.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately at privacy@auravox.app, and we will delete the information.
